Wood formwork was reused from other sites and new wood was Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. Recycled concrete rubble was used as structural fill. Living space materials are low VOC (volatile organic compounds). Lighting was reduced by use of translucent skylight and wall panels. Solar panels are installed on the roof and a rainwater collection system employed.
