The Seattle City Light’s Native Salmonid Conservation Program aims to protect threatened fish species, focusing on establishing self-sustaining populations of Westslope cutthroat trout in northeastern Washington’s Boundary Reservoir tributaries. In response to a relicensing settlement, a fish propagation facility was developed with HDR’s support, emphasizing genetic and ecological principles. The project encompasses the construction of various structures and infrastructures, prioritizing the preservation of Townsend’s big-eared bat and involving stream channel restoration, access roads, stormwater facilities, and the removal of decommissioned structures and pipes.
