As we engaged with preconstruction, the project presented numerous challenges such as shoring design and schedule constraints. To save the owner critical time on the schedule, we placed the first seven floors of the main structure and cantilevered the slabs for the remainder of the building. We then excavated and poured the north side of the garage from top down, working as the hotel structure continued to rise. This allowed the project to continue moving forward and kept all crews on schedule.
