It is the 12th building at the Penitentiary to be certified LEED® Silver; an abandoned steam tunnel provides a route for the new storm drain; updates to technology – upgrading to digital x-rays – will reduce hazardous waste. More than 21% of materials are recycled and 88% of the construction waste was recycled.
