GSA Thomas S. Foley U.S. Courthouse Modernization

The scope of this modernization project included replacement and upgrading of the mechanical, electrical and lighting building systems throughout the 301,000 SF, nine story facility, demolition, tenant improvement, a new, secure elevator, vehicle sally-port detention cells and detention equipment for the U.S. Marshall’s Service.

Nearly all the work in the building was performed at night in order to keep the building fully functional for the GSA and their tenants during normal business hours.

The project achieved LEED ® EB Silver certification. In April 2013 the GSA announced the Thomas S. Foley Courthouse is one of fifteen buildings that saved taxpayers nearly a million dollars by reducing energy consumption.
