Franklin County Courthouse

This historic courthouse renovation preserved iconic architectural craftsmanship while reinforcing the structure for lasting performance and civic prominence.
The Franklin County Courthouse underwent a comprehensive historic renovation to restore and preserve a 100+ year old civic landmark. The project included meticulous restoration of the stained-glass dome, scagliola and marble finishes, ornamental plasterwork, historic courtrooms, and all exterior windows. Exterior improvements focused on cleaning and repainting original brick, securing masonry veneer with seismic anchoring, refurbishing sheet‑metal corbels, and fully replacing the building’s ornate copper roof. The renovation balanced preservation craftsmanship with structural upgrades to ensure long-term durability and continued public use.
