Coyote Ridge Corrections Center Expansion

Delivered as a design‑build joint venture with Hunt, the Coyote Ridge expansion created a compact, high‑performance correctional campus supported by comprehensive site development and infrastructure.
The project encompassed approximately 564,000 SF across 21 new buildings on a 145‑acre site, providing housing for 2,048 inmates along with education, wellness, vocational programs, a centralized kitchen hub, administrative functions, and new support facilities sized for future growth. Extensive utilities and campus infrastructure, including water, sewer, electrical, gas, low‑voltage systems, security fencing and lighting, roads, and pump stations, were designed and constructed as part of the work. Built for long‑term durability with a 100‑year service life, the campus was recognized as the largest prison project under construction in the United States at the time and became the first prison campus in the nation to achieve LEED® Gold certification.
