Stoke Space S1 Test Stand

The Stoke Space S1 Rocket Test Stand in Moses Lake, WA delivers critical infrastructure supporting full‑flow staged combustion engine testing for the company’s reusable rocket program.

The project centers on a 44‑foot deep engineered pit, extending 275 feet in length and widening from 45 feet at the base to 170 feet at the surface, paired with a two‑story concrete and steel support structure designed for multiple high‑capacity fuel tanks. Construction included 4,800 cubic yards of concrete, 330 tons of rebar, and a 3,700 SF foundation slab. Full‑height wall pours were completed in 70‑foot sections using a 330‑ton crane and dual formwork systems. Despite winter conditions and highly specialized requirements, the Design-Build facility was delivered in just 10 months, underscoring Lydig’s expertise in building complex, high-precision aerospace infrastructure.
