Rocky Reach Dam Maintenance Facilities
A long-term hydroelectric modernization effort delivering new and upgraded support facilities while ensuring uninterrupted dam operations through intensive coordination and phased construction.
As part of a 50-year strategic plan, the project involved redeveloping existing structures and constructing new facilities, while CCPUD also upgraded hydroelectric generators, turbines, and spillgates. Since both dams were essential facilities, all work was carefully coordinated to avoid operational downtime. At Rock Island, the project added new fabrication, machining, painting, and offices, along with refurbishments to 12 existing buildings. At Rocky Reach, three new buildings were constructed (a warehouse, engineering office, and tool shop) and five existing structures were updated to meet operational needs and enhance efficiency.
