Rock Island Dam Maintenance Facilities

A complex, multi-site infrastructure upgrade delivering new and modernized facilities while ensuring continuous operation of critical hydroelectric systems through intensive coordination.
The Chelan County Public Utility District’s 50-year plan includes significant upgrades to support and maintenance facilities at Rock Island and Rocky Reach Dams along the Columbia River. This GC/CM effort encompasses redevelopment of existing structures, construction of new operational buildings, and refurbishment work across both sites, including fabrication spaces, shops, offices, and crew support facilities. The project is being delivered alongside CCPUD’s separate modernization of generators, turbines, and spill gates, requiring detailed phased execution and close coordination to maintain continuous operations at these essential hydroelectric facilities and avoid impacts to power generation.
