National Guard Readiness Center

The new National Guard Readiness Center provides local guard units with a modern armory for the first time since 1908. The Readiness Center is the training and mobilization site for over 330 Washington Guardsmen. The 68,847 square foot facility includes classrooms, complex food service areas, locker rooms, administrative offices, storage, maintenance and training areas. The Readiness Center will also include a 6,676 square foot assembly hall. The primary role of the new Readiness Center is training and operations for the National Guard, but its important civic role was given equal consideration in designing the building. Its large assembly hall, kitchen and smaller classrooms were designed to be available for public use.
