Puget Sound Energy Factoria Services Center
Bellevue, Washington
This two story, 34,650 SF energy-efficient office building replaced an existing 1950’s single story office building. The project included the demolition of the existing office building, renovation of the existing warehouse, construction of the new facility and redistribution of the parking areas. Factoria Service Center is anticipated to receive a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. Some of the energy-efficient features included a green roof, the innovative use of an under-floor air distribution system, bicycle storage and showers to encourage employees to bike to work, high efficiency water-conserving fixtures that use 40% less water, and lighting that turns off during non-business hours and by low cut-off glare-reducing fixtures. This project demonstrates Lydig’s commitment to innovative approaches to energy and water conservation while promoting good stewardship of our environment.
